GUC panthers for Rugby was founded back in August 2014, by Rana Deraz; whose interest in seeing American football led her to where she stands today with her girls’ team.

The National Rugby tournament in women’s season which is currently taking place consists of seven tournaments. The first was held on the 13th of October at the American University in Cairo. Panthers were able to notch up the game well, which gave them the points needed to take the lead against the other four teams: Alex, Eagles, Titans and AUC.

We should also mention that panthers took 3rd place in “WESTERN CAPE 7’S TOURNAMENT” last month which was held in Cape Town in South Africa, on the 30th of September.

Batool Tarek Hassan, one of the players and the team’s general manager revealed exclusively to INSIDER that “GUC Panthers” are now “Transforma Panthers”, where “Transforma”  is a fitness academy that will officially open on the 3rd of November in Grand residence compound.

According to Batool, the second tournament of the season will be in November but the date hasn’t been settled yet. Another exclusive news to INSIDER is that “Transforma Panthers” will be hosting December tournament.

INSIDER wishes you the very best of luck Panthers!
